Ciera Nicole is an entrepreneur, Confidence Coach, former Miss District of Columbia USA, and founder of Crown Bound Pageant Consulting.

Throughout every chapter of her career, confidence has remained a common thread. From fashion and communications to pageantry, television, entrepreneurship, and coaching, Ciera's work has centered around helping women better understand who they are, communicate their value, and show up with greater confidence and intention.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Ciera graduated from Baltimore City College High School before attending Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising and Communications.

While at Marymount, she immersed herself in leadership, fashion, communications, and women's empowerment. She founded The L.I.S.T., Ladies Inspiring Strength for Tomorrow, an organization focused on empowering women, and also held leadership roles within Marymount's Fashion Department.

Her early professional experience included work in fashion, marketing, communications, and events, contributing to projects for organizations and brands including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Isaac Mizrahi, Christian Siriano, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and others.

Ciera later relocated to New York City, where she joined Endeavor, formerly WME IMG, and worked in Global Marketing and Communications for IMG Fashion Events and Properties, home of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

After returning to the Washington, D.C. and Maryland region, Ciera entered the world of pageantry.

She was crowned Miss Maryland United States 2013 and later Miss District of Columbia USA 2014, earning the opportunity to represent Washington, D.C. at the Miss USA competition.

Through pageantry, Ciera developed an even deeper understanding of confidence, communication, presentation, and performing under pressure. The experience challenged her to articulate her beliefs, connect with others, receive criticism, and continue moving forward through both success and disappointment.

Those lessons would later become central to her work as a coach.

​

Following her reign, Ciera continued pursuing opportunities in entertainment. She went on to win Oxygen's reality TV competition series Last Squad Standing and studied acting at The Barrow Group Theatre Company and School in New York City.

​

In 2014, Ciera founded Crown Bound Pageant Consulting and began coaching women competing in pageantry.

What began as traditional pageant preparation evolved into a broader approach to personal development. Ciera recognized that successful preparation was not simply about perfecting a walk, selecting a wardrobe, or rehearsing interview answers. The deeper work involved helping women understand what made them unique, articulate their stories, strengthen their communication skills, develop their personal brands, and trust themselves in high pressure environments.

Today, Crown Bound works with girls and women in confidence development, personal branding, interview strategy, communication, image consulting, stage presentation, and mindset. Ciera's clients have gone on to earn recognition at the local, state, national, and international levels.

While pageantry has played an important role in her journey, Ciera's work continues to expand beyond competition. At the center of it all is a simple belief: confidence is not about becoming someone else. It is about having the self awareness, skills, and courage to fully own who you already are.​
